Privacy policy
Viper IT is a trading name of Headley Group Pty Ltd (ABN 99 688 860 326). This page explains what personal information we collect and what we do with it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
What we collect
When you contact us or book a review, we collect your name, phone number, email address, business name and how many people work there. When you become a client, we also hold the details we need to support your systems, such as staff names and email addresses and the devices and accounts we look after.
What we use it for
We use it to reply to you, provide the IT support you've asked for, send invoices, and meet our legal obligations. We don't sell it, rent it or use it for advertising, and we don't add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business and support your systems, such as our email provider, accounting software and the security, backup and monitoring tools installed on your devices. Some of these store data outside Australia. We only use providers with their own published privacy and security commitments. We'll share information if the law requires it.
Access to your systems
As your IT provider we have administrator access to the systems we support. We only look at what we need to fix or maintain them. Your data, passwords and accounts belong to you, and we hand them back when you ask or when you leave.
Keeping it secure
We store information in accounts protected by multi-factor sign-in and keep passwords in an encrypted vault. If we become aware of a data breach that affects you, we'll tell you without unreasonable delay and follow the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where it applies.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@viperit.com.au. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us first. If we can't sort it out, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
